The course will introduce participants to Cheshire’s common butterflies and day flying moths. We will consider a range of identification aids including; physical characteristics, habitat requirements and food plants. Participants will have the opportunity to explore our Swettenham Meadows reserve whilst searching for its numerous resident butterflies.
The course will also look at the various grassland management and restoration techniques that have been implemented on the reserves that have a direct influence on the invertebrate assemblages.
